On Saturday (4/17/2010) I was with a group from my church working at the Silence of Mary house and in the back yard was this fence, painted as you see it here.
While there a photographer stopped by, someone I recognized by his photo here on B2 but had never met before that day. It was a pleasure to meet Jeff Goodling in person. So you never know, that guy/gal with a camera in hand just may be one of our own.

Nice shot Chip. I was waiting to see what you posted from your day there. It was a wonderful thing, what you all did there on Saturday. I'm glad I stopped by, it was great to meet you!

I was waiting for you to go first, Jeff. Must be that I would lose if we were in a staring contest. I'll probably post a a wider angle shot so more of what we wre doing can be seen.
I used to live on the 17th block of Regine St, so I was almost at home. Strange, I drove by the old place (it's been 41 years-yes i'm old) and it sure looks different. Lived there only for a year (9th grade-Thomas Edison Jr high) but it was rough even then. When I lived there several houses on the 14th & 15th street were burned out shells from the riots a year or two before. It looks as if those houses were never rebuilt, but torn down instead. Sad.
